What’s a girl to do if she’s constantly on the go and doesn’t have a snack on hand? With this heat it’s unbearable to have anything stored in your purse, let alone your car. I want something healthy of course. It’s only been a week and I’ve consumed a muffin, fruit cup, Lunchables, and Pop Tarts. Yeah, that’s not cool. Any ideas on what to bring from home?

I’ve seen many versions of the fork, spoon, and knife combination but this one takes the cake! Just-eat created a utensil that combined the essential tools for us to slice, spoon, pick up, fork, cut, or spork! They call it the Eatensil. A concept so far, but it looks promising. I know my mother would love a set just so she’d avoid restaurant utensils. The Eatensil looks fairly bulky but it comes with a pizza slicer, fork, spoon, chopsticks, bottle opener, knife, and a wooden spork. It’s handy so you can’t complain!
Just a question to my fellow bakers. I have been entertaining the thought of a healthy cookie, something that I can take on the go with my coffee or tea in the mornings. I’m just wondering out loud here. Is there such a thing as a breakfast cookie? And is it as rich and wholesome as a fatty oatmeal cookie?
Note to self: Sweet cream butter does not mean unsalted butter. All my fellow bakers are probably giggling to yourselves and mocking your computer screens. Paula Dean must be rolling around in fits of laughter. I can just hear her now, “Oh darlin’, you need to remember to read the labels!”
There goes my batch of oatmeal cookies. I’m sad now. Looks are deceiving, they don’t taste as great as they look. Well, it’s a good thing I have a Costco sized box of rolled oats.
